Powerstart Blueberry Bomb

A smooth rich, tasty blueberry heaven you can drink through a straw. You will never guess what health benefits this smoothie holds because it is THAT delicious!

I've been making blueberry smoothies for my family and friends since I was 13 years old! Its amazing how I had this recipe since then, with a couple of tweaks to make it more nutritious. Lets get into the ingredients...

Ingredients:

- 1/2 cup of frozen blueberries

- 1 cup rice milk (or any type of milk)

- 1 individual serving of greek yogurt ( I used one with honey to sweeten it)

- 4 pitted dates

Blend all in a blender, serve cold or freeze as frozen yogurt popsicles and enjoy!

Dates provide a delicious sweetness and texture to the smoothie. It is filled with minerals, calcium, iron and fibre which leads to providing you energy throughout the day. What better way to start the day!

Greek yogurt is high in protein and has vitamin B12. Vitamin B12 keeps your blood cells healthy and is crucial for the smooth functioning of several critical body processes. The protein and good fats in greek yogurt will keep you full until your next meal.

Blueberries are one of the highest antioxidants filled fruits. It aids to weight loss, promote heart health, fight cancer and boost the brain. It is also wonderful for clear skin! It combats aging and disrupts any irritation that can cause a breakout.

So give this SIMPLE, DELICIOUS, NUTRITIOUS smoothie a try! I'm sure you already have these ingredients in your fridge. It will wake you up in the morning and keep you sustained with energy.
